Description
As an Associate Loan Processor, you'll play an integral role in the mortgage loan approval process, coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders to move the client file through to approval.
About the Role
- Oversee and review all mortgage approval process documentation
- For team awareness, maintain and update client mortgage files, outlining outstanding conditions in a document database
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including underwriting, to facilitate the mortgage approval process
- Prepare approval packages for clients upon receiving mortgage commitments
- Ensure file compliance with consent, mortgage commitment, disclosure, and amortization requirements.
- Adhere to data handling guidelines and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Facilitate the final loan approval process with clients
- Consistently meet minimum production goal numbers and quality metrics
- Manage individual pipeline and meet service level agreements (SLAs)
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
- Effectively communicate with clients using written and verbal communication methods using a positive, empathetic and professional attitude
- Aid in the adoption of process changes and improvements
- Stay up to date on current regulatory and lender guidelines
- Consult with current clients with support about current and future needs to help them achieve their financial goals
- Handle client objections with support mid-process to ensure they remain on-track to close their mortgage
- Structure client applications to enable clients' qualification with support for product eligibility requirements
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year of recent mortgage loan processing, or related experience
- Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario Mortgage Agent (FSRA) license
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of sales experience and/or client service experience
- French Speaking

British Columbia & Prince Edward Island Candidates Only. The pay range for this position is seventeen dollars and fifty cents per hour to twenty-eight dollars and twenty-seven cents per hour. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental and vision benefits and paid-time off.
