Description

As a Procurement Category Manager, you'll research, evaluate, monitor and strategize procurement operations. You'll ensure technology hardware and software are delivered efficiently, meeting or exceeding agreed parameters, while also working to optimize costs and services delivered.

About the Role

  • Communicate and embody the culture and mission of the company
  • Lead procurement activities for the acquisition of technology and software/services
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous pricing, terms and maintain strong relationships
  • Maintain effective communication with leadership regarding developments within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested
  • Drive sourcing strategy (RFI/Q/P, reverse auction, or other sourcing techniques) and ensure alignment with business partner on strategy
  • Conduct market research and partner with innovative technology suppliers
  • Develop and execute holistic procurement strategy for leading category/business area
  • Responsible for negotiating commercial terms, including scope and service level agreements, and collaborating with Legal and Vendor Risk Management to leverage their expertise during vendor contract negotiations
  • Ensure contracts are renewed timely

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Indirect Procurement Experience
  • Experience with negotiating Technology Procurement Agreements
  • 3 years of management and administration experience
