Rock Events is a premiere team of event professionals who provide event production, business travel and hospitality services to Rocket Companies, in additional to venue sales for some of the most sought-after event spaces in the city of Detroit. Borne out of the Rock Family of Companies, Rock Events has managed many of Detroit’s largest gatherings for more than a decade.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 years of corporate travel/agency experience
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to perform well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to assess problems and solve them with a strong sense of urgency and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal instructions or supervision
  • Able to anticipate business/travel needs and act proactively.
  • Excellent listening, organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry

Job Summary

As a Travel Coordinator, you'll work to coordinate travel for conferences and large company-sponsored events. You'll provide exceptional experiences for clients that meet objectives and impress travelers, always providing a world-class experience.


  • Oversee conference travel requests including assigning request deadlines and conference tracking, ensuring requests flow smoothly
  • Assist with registering team members for conferences
  • Create and send “Know Before You Go” communication for group trips and conferences
  • Book and organize hotel room blocks for remote travelers, including contacting hotels for availability, sending booking tool activations, managing correspondence and overviewing final bills for accuracy
  • Send surveys and feedback requests to team members and assist with corresponding communication for group related travel
  • Assist with miscellaneous projects and initiatives such as activating team members on the online booking tool Deem, assist with booking air, hotel, and car reservations for business travel, assist with payment for hotel rooms and assist with reconciling hotel charges through the collection of hotel folios
  • Attend planning meeting with the Rock Events Production team to identify any travel components of event and manage those pieces
  • Oversee the relationship with our travel agency’s groups department
  • Handle reservation request in external hotel room blocks, and manage the tracking of these reservations, including setting them up for payment
